We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 18th March for the Roundway Revenge.
Please find below, race information which we ask you to spend time reading before the event.
Race HQ
Devizes Sports Club, London Road Devizes, Wiltshire SN10 2DL
Click here for directions to the race HQ.
Parking
There is no onsite parking available at the Race HQ. The entrance will be manned and anyone who tries to enter by car will be turned away.
This is for YOUR safety. The Sports Club is still used by others such as Tennis, Cricket and Rugby so we need to minimise the cars entering and leaving and car park reaching capacity.
Just think - the short walk there will help with your warm up and the walk back will help to flush them!
The nearest car park is 'The Wharf', accessed via New Park Street which is a ten minute walk to the race HQ along the Kennet and Avon canal. For directions, click here.
For a full list of car parks in Devizes, click here.
Please do not park in Morrison's car park as it is monitored by ANPR cameras and operates a strict two hour parking policy.
If you can car share or walk to the venue, please do so.

Mandatory pre-race briefing
There will be a mandatory pre-race briefing for all competitors at 08:20 at the Race HQ.
Race route
The route is one lap of approximately eight miles.
The race starts on Quakers Walk near the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The route is mostly off-road, a mix of undulating and hilly terrain with breathtaking views and dominated by the climb up Roundway Hill where you will find the first water station.
From there, the route winds itself around the top of the hill before dropping down Heddington Steps. You then run around the bottom of Beacon Hill and up through the gulley back to the top of Roundway Hill again, adjacent to 'Oliver's Castle'.
After the second water station, you will follow a short technical section through the woods before dropping down off road 'under the pylons' and back to Quakers Walk.
Once you have exited Quakers Walk, there will be a short stretch of canal towpath before turning into the Sports Club where the finish is on the cricket pitch.
The finish is an easy view for spectators so lots of cheering to be heard to help you over that finish line.
As the route is run over farmland and also bridleways, there is a strong chance of livestock/horses being in the area. We ask that you are mindful of this fact. To that end, no dogs will be allowed in the race.
Terrain
Trail shoes are recommended.
If it is not muddy, the ground will be hard, dry and often uneven.
There are rutted section and tree routes on the route and you are responsible for your own safety - please take care.

• Should you withdraw from the event for any reason, please alert one of the event staff and return your racing bib to them.
• Follow the highway code and UKA rules at all times.
Running numbers are non-transferable
You must not use someone else’s number, nor let someone else use yours.
Number swapping is strictly prohibited for several reasons, the most important of which is the danger and confusion it can cause in the event of an incident on the course.
The information you provided in the registration process included your next of kin and emergency contact information.
First aid crews on the course provide details of those that have had to drop out of the race, those receiving medical attention, including their location and if they have been taken to a hospital.
In the event of a serious incident, we contact the named next of kin and emergency contact. If your place is being used by someone else, then the emergency services and medical professionals waste valuable time and your action might cause great distress and concern to your closest friends/family.
Anyone found to be running under someone else’s number will be given a lifetime ban from Devizes Running Club events and if you are an affiliated runner, this will be reported to both your county athletic association and England/Wales/Scottish Athletics.
